White Christmas.

Too long.  Colors too vivid.  Cheesy sets.  Weird dance numbers.  Episodic plot with the American flag at the end.  Did I already say ‘too long’?

But I still like it.

Do I really think that any of the characters will have a happily ever after?  No, because I know that Bing Crosby doesn’t marry Rosemary Clooney.  I never believe that the actors are those characters — it feels more like an extravagant school production put on by some of your favorite people.  I’m just happy to watch them dress up and have fun.

One weird afterthought.  Michael Curtiz directed Casablanca and White Christmas.   Interesting.
